If you are like me, snow is enjoyable for about one week. After that, I would prefer 358 days of sunshine and warm temperatures. Here is my list of why winter should be enjoyed from afar.
1. At the first hint of snow, people lose all sense of how to drive a motor vehicle.
2. It is virtually impossible to keep your car clean.
3. Waking up in a cold house in complete darkness is no way to start your day.
4. Trying to convince your dogs to get off the couch and go “potty” in a foot of snow.
5. Shoveling your driveway in the morning only to have a snowplow later come through and ruin your progress.
6. “Bundling up” to get the mail.
7. Trying to find that fine line on your car’s defrost between breaking a sweat while driving and keeping your windshield ice free.
8. Gray and overcast skies for day after day after day...
9. Walking on snow and ice in a pair of dress shoes. (You know what I’m talking about…you have to take steps like you are 103 years old.)
10. No golfing!!!
